Name: Konica Minolta Magicolor 2490MF scan Driver
Author: Konica Minolta

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Konica Minolta scanner/print drivers first, run the installer as administrator, and reboot before retrying. On newer Windows, use the correct 64-bit TWAIN/WIA package and avoid compatibility mode unless instructed.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm USB is connected directly, not through a hub, or that the network IP is correct. Start the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service, check Device Manager for unknown devices, and allow the scanner app through the firewall.

Question 3

Version/driver conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall duplicate Magicolor 2490MF entries in Print Management and Device Manager, then install one matching TWAIN/WIA driver. Keep 32-bit and 64-bit scan apps consistent; restart before testing.
