Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZXP Series 7 driver installer as administrator. Keep the USB cable disconnected until prompted, then connect the powered-on printer. If it still fails, uninstall older Zebra card-printer drivers, reboot, and retry.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the ZXP Series 7 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for the printer or an unknown USB device. Try a different USB cable/port and remove conflicting Zebra printer entries.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old ZXP Series 7 and generic Zebra card-printer drivers, restart the Print Spooler, then install the correct Windows 32/64-bit package. Avoid mixing Windows Update drivers with Zebra Setup Utilities installs.
