Common Issues and Fixes

• Install fails or hangs: Confirm the GH22NP20 is powered and detected in BIOS/UEFI before running any package. Windows already provides the correct CD/DVD driver; avoid forcing old XP/Vista LG installers. Run setup as administrator and temporarily disable antivirus.
• Drive not detected: Check the SATA/IDE cable and power, try another port/cable, and set IDE master/slave jumpers correctly if PATA. In Device Manager, uninstall the entry (Code 10/39/41), then scan for hardware changes; test with a known-good disc.
• Version conflicts: Remove virtual-CD tools and old burning suites that add filter drivers. In Device Manager, update driver > Browse > Let me pick > Microsoft CD-ROM Drive, or uninstall/reinstall the generic SCSI CdRom device. Update firmware only for the exact GH22NP20 revision.
