The Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse (Mouse and Keyboard Center) driver package enables supported customization features for your Microsoft Bluetooth mouse. Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center lets you adjust button assignments and mouse behavior beyond basic pointer control. For Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, choose a package version that supports your operating system and system architecture.
Key Features
- Custom button assignments: Configure supported mouse buttons for actions such as navigating back, switching applications, or opening frequently used functions.
- Windows touch tab settings: Adjust supported actions for the Sculpt Comfort Mouse’s side touch tab, with available options depending on your Windows version and software release.
- Scrolling and pointer preferences: Access settings to tailor supported scrolling behavior and pointer response for more comfortable everyday use.
- Application-specific controls: Where supported, assign different button functions to individual programs so the mouse fits your workflow.
How to Install
- Check your Windows configuration. Confirm whether you are running Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, and check your system type in Windows system information. Select a compatible Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center package; not every release supports every listed Windows version.
- Connect the mouse over Bluetooth. Turn on the Sculpt Comfort Mouse, activate its pairing mode, and add it through your computer’s Bluetooth settings. Your PC needs working Bluetooth hardware and its own compatible Bluetooth driver.
- Download and run the installer. Save the matching installation package, open it, and approve the Windows permission prompt if requested. Close any open mouse configuration utilities before proceeding.
- Complete setup. Follow the installation prompts and restart Windows if asked. Once installation is complete, open Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center and select the connected mouse.
- Customize and test. Review the available button, touch tab, and scrolling settings. Apply your preferences, then test them in the applications you use most.
Basic mouse movement may work before Mouse and Keyboard Center is installed, but advanced customization requires compatible software. If the mouse is not detected, check its batteries and Bluetooth pairing first; reinstalling the mouse utility will not resolve a missing or malfunctioning Bluetooth adapter driver.
