Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the Yutron XP-8060C installer as Administrator and use Windows compatibility mode for older packages. Disconnect the printer during setup, reconnect only when prompted, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the installer is unsigned.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the XP-8060C is powered on and in ready mode, reseat the USB/serial cable, and try another port. In Windows, check Device Manager for unknown devices and set the correct printer port (USB001 or the assigned COM port).

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Yutron/POS printer drivers and stale printer queues in Devices and Printers before installing the latest XP-8060C driver. Restart Windows afterward and avoid mixing generic POS drivers with the OEM package.
