The Logitech Unifying USB receiver connects compatible Logitech wireless keyboards and mice to your PC through a single USB port. Its driver enables Windows to recognize the receiver and handle input from paired devices, while Logitech pairing software may be needed to add or manage compatible peripherals.
Key Features
- Reliable device recognition: Allows Windows to identify the receiver and communicate with supported Logitech wireless input devices.
- Shared USB connection: Supports the receiver’s ability to connect up to six Unifying-compatible keyboards and mice, leaving other USB ports available.
- Standard keyboard and mouse input: Enables everyday typing, pointer movement, and scrolling. Additional button assignments or device-specific settings may require separate Logitech software.
- Windows compatibility: Supports use on Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7 when the appropriate driver is installed. Pairing utility compatibility may vary by Windows version.
How to Install
- Check your receiver and peripherals. Confirm that you have a Logitech Unifying USB receiver and that each device you want to connect supports Unifying technology. Logitech Bolt and other non-Unifying wireless devices cannot pair with this receiver.
- Connect the receiver. Insert it into an available USB port on your computer, preferably directly rather than through a hub during setup. Windows will usually detect it and install the required standard USB input drivers automatically.
- Install a driver only if needed. If Windows does not recognize the receiver, check Windows Update first. Before installing a downloaded package, verify that it is from a trusted source and explicitly supports your Windows version and system architecture. Follow the installer’s prompts, and restart only if requested.
- Pair your keyboard or mouse. A device supplied with the receiver may already be paired. To connect another compatible peripheral, use Logitech’s supported pairing utility for your Windows version and follow its instructions, which may include switching the peripheral off and on.
- Test the connection. Check typing, pointer movement, and scrolling. If the device does not respond, inspect its batteries, try a different USB port, and look in Device Manager for recognition errors before reinstalling software.
