The Clavier sans fil USB Logitech is a wireless keyboard that connects to your PC through a USB receiver. Its driver lets Windows recognize the receiver and process keyboard input, helping you restore typing functionality after a system reinstall or troubleshoot a detection problem.
Key Features
- USB receiver recognition: Allows Windows to identify the keyboard’s receiver and establish the connection needed for wireless input.
- Standard keyboard support: Enables everyday typing, navigation keys, and common keyboard shortcuts through Windows keyboard and USB input services.
- Windows compatibility: Supports setup on Windows 11, 10, 8, and 7 when you use a driver package compatible with your exact keyboard model and operating system.
- Model-specific controls: Compatible Logitech software may provide access to extra function keys or customizable controls, depending on the keyboard model. Not every wireless Logitech keyboard includes these features.
How to Install
- Identify your keyboard and Windows version. Check the model information on the underside of the keyboard and, if available, on its USB receiver. Confirm your Windows version and whether your system requires a 32-bit or 64-bit package.
- Connect the wireless receiver. Insert the matching receiver into an available USB port, preferably directly on the computer. Turn on the keyboard and make sure its batteries have sufficient charge. Windows may install a built-in keyboard driver automatically.
- Download the appropriate driver if needed. If the keyboard is not recognized or requires additional Logitech features, choose a trusted driver or software package explicitly listed for your model and Windows version. The general device name alone is not enough to confirm compatibility.
- Complete the installation. Open the downloaded installer and follow its instructions. If the download contains driver files without an installer, use Device Manager, select the relevant device, choose Update driver, and browse to the extracted folder.
- Restart if prompted and test the keyboard. Try typing in a text editor and check any supported special keys. If input still fails, reconnect the receiver, try another USB port, and follow your model’s pairing instructions where applicable.
For basic typing, the built-in Windows driver is often sufficient. Install additional Logitech software only when it supports your specific keyboard and provides features you need.
Common Issues and Fixes
- Install fails or driver will not load: Unplug the USB receiver, remove old Logitech keyboard entries in Device Manager, reboot, then run the installer as administrator. For a Unifying receiver, re-pair the keyboard with Logitech Unifying Software.
- Keyboard not detected: Replace batteries, use a direct USB port instead of a hub, press the receiver/keyboard Connect button, and re-pair. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device.
- Version conflicts: Uninstall older Logitech SetPoint/Options and duplicate keyboard drivers, reboot, then install the latest compatible package from Logitech support. Do not mix Unifying and non-Unifying software.
