The Logitech Software G27 driver package connects your Logitech G27 racing wheel, pedals, and gear shifter to Windows so compatible racing games can recognize and use their controls. Logitech’s supporting software also lets you adjust wheel behavior and control assignments for a more consistent driving experience.

Key Features

  • Wheel, pedal, and shifter support: Enables compatible games to detect steering input, accelerator, brake, clutch, and gear selections.
  • Force feedback configuration: Provides settings for supported force feedback effects, helping the wheel communicate changes in grip, road surface, and vehicle handling.
  • Adjustable steering response: Lets you configure steering rotation and sensitivity through the available Logitech software, with additional tuning options in many games.
  • Game-specific control profiles: Supports button assignments and profiles in compatible Logitech software, reducing the need to reconfigure controls when switching games.

How to Install

  1. Check your Windows version. Identify whether your PC runs Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7, and whether it uses a 32-bit or 64-bit system. The G27 is a legacy device, so confirm the selected package’s compatibility rather than assuming every release supports all four versions.
  2. Download the appropriate G27 package. Choose Logitech software that explicitly lists the G27 as a supported device. Newer Logitech utilities are not necessarily compatible with this wheel.
  3. Prepare the hardware and run setup. Close racing games, connect the pedals and shifter securely to the wheel, and attach its power supply. Launch the installer and follow its instructions about when to connect the USB cable.
  4. Complete installation and test detection. Restart Windows if prompted, then open the installed Logitech utility or Windows game controller settings. Check steering, pedals, buttons, and shifter inputs. Keep your hands clear if the wheel performs its automatic calibration movement.
  5. Configure your racing game. Select the G27 or assign its controls manually, then adjust steering range and force feedback. Test at moderate feedback strength before fine-tuning your preferred settings.

If the wheel is not detected, try a direct USB connection instead of a hub and review the package’s compatibility notes, especially on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
