The Epson TX100 Series driver lets Windows communicate with your Epson all-in-one printer, so applications can send documents and photos to it correctly. Installing a compatible driver also gives you access to print settings that may be missing when Windows uses a basic printer driver.
Key Features
- Reliable printer communication: Helps Windows recognize the Epson TX100 Series and send print jobs through its USB connection.
- Paper and quality controls: Provides settings for paper size, media type, orientation, and print quality, depending on the driver package.
- Document and photo printing: Lets you adjust available output options to suit everyday paperwork or photo prints on compatible media.
- Maintenance access: Compatible Epson software may include nozzle checks, printhead cleaning, and alignment tools to help troubleshoot print quality.
How to Install
- Check your Windows version. Before downloading, confirm whether you use Windows 11, 10, 8, or 7 and check your system type where applicable. Choose a package explicitly compatible with your system; an older driver should not be assumed to support newer Windows versions.
- Prepare the printer. Load paper, make sure the ink cartridges are installed, and turn on the Epson TX100 Series. If you are using an Epson installer, leave the USB cable disconnected until the setup program asks you to connect it.
- Run the installer. Open the downloaded package and allow it to make changes if Windows prompts you. Follow the on-screen instructions, selecting your printer model if a device list appears.
- Connect and complete setup. Attach the printer directly to an available USB port when prompted. Wait for installation to finish, and restart your computer if requested.
- Test the connection. Open the Windows printer settings, select the Epson TX100 Series, and print a test page. If you also need scanning, check whether a separate compatible Epson scanner driver or scanning utility is required.
For Windows 11 or Windows 10, verify compatibility before installing a package originally intended for Windows 8 or Windows 7. If setup does not detect the printer, try another USB port and check for an existing printer entry before reinstalling.
Common Issues and Fixes
- Install fails or stalls: Disconnect the TX100 Series USB cable, close Epson/print apps, run the setup as Administrator, and reconnect USB only when prompted. Temporarily allow the installer through antivirus/firewall.
- Printer not detected: Connect directly to a rear USB port (not a hub), try another USB cable/port, power-cycle the TX100, and confirm USB is selected in the installer. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device.
- Driver/version conflicts: Uninstall old Epson TX100 entries in Programs and Devices and Printers, remove duplicate ports, reboot, then install the correct 32/64-bit Epson driver. Avoid mixing the Windows generic driver with Epson Scan.
