Name: ZyXEL G 220F 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter Driver
Author: Zyxel

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back on newer Windows?

Accepted Answer

the G 220F package uses legacy, possibly unsigned drivers. Run setup as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode; if it still fails, install manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Browse and select the extracted INF file.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

try a rear USB 2.0 port, avoid hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown USB devices. Reinstall the ZyXEL driver, then rescan hardware; if needed, uninstall hidden USB/WLAN entries and reconnect.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

remove older ZyXEL or other 802.11g USB WLAN drivers first, disable the built-in wireless adapter, and use one driver version only. Avoid mixing the vendor utility and Windows Wireless Zero Configuration.
