Name: ZTE MF192 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE MF192 installer as administrator. If setup still fails, extract the driver package and use Device Manager > Update driver > Browse to the INF file, then reboot before reconnecting the modem.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Plug the MF192 directly into a rear USB port, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “ZTE USB Modem,” unknown devices, or USB composite entries; uninstall any faulty entry, replug the modem, and let Windows rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZTE modem drivers via Device Manager, selecting “Delete driver software” if available. Reboot, then install only the matching MF192 driver package to avoid multiple ZTE modem entries fighting over the device.
