Author: ZTE

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE F160 driver setup as Administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and plug in the USB modem only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port, preferably a rear motherboard port. In Device Manager, check under Modems/Ports/Network adapters; remove any yellow-marked ZTE entry and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZTE USB modem drivers and connection manager first, reboot, then install the matching F160 driver. Avoid letting Windows replace it with a generic modem driver if connections drop.
