Name: ZTE AC2787 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE driver installer as administrator and close ZTE modem/connection software first. Check the package matches your Windows version and architecture; only disable driver signature enforcement if the vendor package is unsigned.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable, then check Device Manager for “Unknown device” or a ZTE composite/USB modem entry. Unplug the AC2787, install the driver, reboot, and reconnect; if it appears only as a CD-ROM, manually update the driver to the modem/composite device.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older ZTE USB modem drivers and connection managers in Programs and Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install one matching AC2787 package. Avoid mixing drivers from other ZTE models.
