Name: ZTE AC2736 Driver
Author: ZTE

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the ZTE AC2736 driver installer as administrator and unplug the USB modem until setup prompts. If Windows blocks an unsigned/older driver, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port, preferably directly on the PC rather than a hub. In Device Manager, check for an unknown USB modem or serial device, then uninstall it and rescan. Confirm the AC2736 is not in storage-only mode.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older ZTE/Qualcomm modem drivers and previous AC2736 entries in Device Manager first. Reboot before installing the matching driver package to avoid duplicate serial/COM port assignments.
