Author: Zebra

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Zebra installer as administrator, close other printer utilities, and remove existing ZP 450/Generic printer entries before reinstalling. If it still fails, restart the Print Spooler service and retry.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the ZP 450 directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Confirm power and cable, check Device Manager for unknown devices, and use Zebra Setup Utilities to install/communicate with the printer.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old Zebra or Windows Generic drivers, delete the printer queue, then install the Zebra driver for the ZP 450 200 dpi model. Avoid mixing other Zebra drivers or resolution variants, and set the correct queue as default.
