Name: Zebra ZDesigner GT800 (EPL) Driver
Author: Zebra

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Zebra installer as administrator and remove any existing GT800/Zebra print queues and driver packages in Print Management before reinstalling. Use the current ZDesigner GT800 (EPL) package for your Windows version.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the GT800 is powered on and connected directly to a USB port, avoiding unpowered hubs. Check Device Manager for unknown devices, then select the correct port, usually USB001. For serial/parallel models, verify the COM/LPT port.

Question 3

Version or language conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Do not mix this EPL driver with a ZPL GT800 driver or other Zebra driver packages. Delete old queues, remove stale Zebra drivers, reboot, and install only the EPL driver. Confirm the printer is in EPL mode, or labels may print garbled.
