Author: Zebra

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Zebra/ZDesigner drivers and printer queues first, then run the installer as administrator. On newer Windows versions, use compatibility mode if the Z6M Plus package is unsigned or legacy.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the Z6M Plus is powered on and connected to the correct USB/parallel/serial port. Print a self-test label, try another cable/port, and refresh Device Manager before reinstalling.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove stale Zebra driver entries and duplicate Z6M Plus 200 dpi queues, restart the Print Spooler service, and install only one matching driver version. Prevent Windows Update from silently replacing the Zebra driver.
