Name: Zapco DSP amplifier (COM5) Driver
Author: Zapco

Question 1

Install fails or COM5 is missing?

Accepted Answer

Run the manufacturer’s installer as administrator and reboot. In Device Manager, check Ports (COM & LPT) for the DSP amplifier’s USB serial port; if it appears on another COM number, reassign it to COM5 or update the COM setting in the Zapco DSP software.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the amplifier is powered and use a data-capable USB cable directly, not through a hub. Try another USB port, then reopen the DSP software and verify COM5 is selected.

Question 3

Version conflicts or COM5 busy?

Accepted Answer

Close the Zapco tuning app and any terminal/serial tool using COM5. Uninstall older USB-serial/Zapco drivers in Device Manager with “Delete driver,” reboot, then install the latest manufacturer package.
