Author: X-KIM

Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the X-KIM GPTL 00D driver installer as administrator. If Windows blocks it for an unsigned/mismatched driver, confirm you have the correct 64-bit package and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the GPTL 00D GPS tracker directly to a rear USB port with a data-capable cable, not a charge-only cable. In Device Manager, check for an unknown device or new COM port; reinstall the driver while the tracker is connected.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older X-KIM/GPS serial drivers and any CH34x/CP210x package bound to the same COM port. Reboot, install only the current GPTL 00D driver, then verify the assigned COM port in Device Manager.
