Name: Wincor Nixdorf HighPrint 4915xe Driver
Author: Wincor Nixdorf

Question 1

Install fails on 64-bit Windows?

Accepted Answer

The HighPrint 4915xe uses a legacy POS printer driver. Use the signed 64-bit package for your Windows version, run the installer as administrator, and remove any failed printer queue before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the correct interface—serial, parallel, or USB—and port. Check Device Manager for the COM/LPT/USB printer port, then select the matching port in printer properties. Run the printer’s self-test to isolate cable/port faults from driver faults.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Old Wincor Nixdorf or inbox POS drivers can remain after upgrades. Remove existing HighPrint 4915xe queues, delete the old driver package in Print Management/DriverStore, reboot, then install one driver version matching the OS architecture.
