Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the printer’s USB/parallel cable, run the WeP LQ 1050DX installer as administrator, and reconnect only when prompted. Temporarily pause antivirus and confirm the correct port is selected.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Power on the LQ 1050DX and run a self-test. Try another USB/LPT cable or port, then manually add the printer in Settings using the LQ 1050DX driver and the matching port (e.g., USB001 or LPT1).

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Wipro/WeP LQ 1050DX printer entries, restart the Print Spooler service, and install the latest driver. Match 32-bit/64-bit driver architecture to Windows and set one queue as default.
