Question 1

Install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the WeP/Wipro setup as administrator. If port detection stalls, power on the LQ 1050DX and manually select the correct LPT or USB port. For older INF drivers, use Device Manager > Add printer > Have Disk and choose the matching 32/64-bit INF.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check printer power and online status, reseat the parallel/USB cable, and try another port or cable. Ensure the Windows printer port matches the physical connection (e.g., LPT1 or USB001); avoid unpowered USB hubs.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old WeP/Wipro or generic dot-matrix drivers, clear stuck print jobs, restart Print Spooler, then install the correct driver version. Remove duplicate LQ 1050DX queues.
