Name: WDC WD20EZRX 00D8PB0 Driver
Author: Western Digital

Question 1

Drive not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the SATA data and power cables, try another SATA port/cable, and confirm the WD20EZRX appears in BIOS/UEFI. In Windows, open Disk Management—new or raw drives may need initialization and partitioning before showing in File Explorer.

Question 2

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

This WD20EZRX is a SATA hard drive and uses your motherboard’s SATA/AHCI controller, not a standalone Western Digital driver. Install the chipset/SATA/AHCI driver from your PC or motherboard vendor; avoid forcing RAID drivers unless configured.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Mismatched Intel RST/AMD SATA driver versions can cause instability. Use the OEM-validated driver for your chipset; if errors or BSODs started after an update, roll back to the previous SATA/AHCI driver.
