Question 1

Installer fails or is blocked?

Accepted Answer

Run the CH341SER setup as administrator, use the correct 32/64-bit package, and temporarily allow it through antivirus. Older or unsigned packages can fail on modern Windows; install the latest vendor-supplied driver and reboot.

Question 2

CH341A not detected / no COM port?

Accepted Answer

Check Device Manager for “USB-SERIAL CH341A” or an unknown USB device. Try a different USB cable and a rear USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub. Reinstall CH341SER and manually update the driver if needed.

Question 3

Version conflicts or Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing CH341/CH34x driver, select “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install only the current package. Avoid mixing old programmer utilities with newer drivers.
