Name: Wacom PenPartner Driver
Author: Wacom

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The PenPartner uses legacy Wacom drivers; run the installer as Administrator in Windows XP/Vista/7 compatibility mode. If Windows blocks it, temporarily disable driver signature enforcement, install, then re-enable it.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Test the cable/adapter and use a rear USB port directly, without a hub. For serial PenPartner models, confirm the correct COM port. Check Device Manager for an unknown device, remove it, and rescan.

Question 3

Version conflicts with newer Wacom drivers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall Wacom Desktop Center and any Intuos/CTL drivers first. Remove leftover Wacom entries in Device Manager, reboot, then install only the PenPartner-compatible driver.
