Author: Wacom

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the CTH-480, uninstall existing Wacom/Bamboo drivers, and reboot. Run the correct Intuos CTH-480 installer as administrator, then connect the tablet only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct USB port instead of a hub, try another cable/port, and check Device Manager for unknown HID devices. Reinstall the driver and confirm the tablet status LED.

Question 3

Version conflicts / pen or touch not working?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Wacom drivers and duplicate HID entries, reboot, and install only the Intuos CTH-480 package. Avoid mixing Bamboo/Intuos drivers; recheck Windows Ink settings after Windows updates.
