Name: VisionTek Radeon X1650PRO Driver
Author: VisionTek

Question 1

Installer fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

The X1650PRO uses legacy ATI Catalyst drivers, which modern Windows may block. Run the VisionTek/AMD package as Administrator in Compatibility Mode for the supported OS, and install the correct 32-bit/64-bit version.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Reseat the PCIe card, confirm it appears in Device Manager (even as “Standard VGA”), install motherboard chipset drivers, and check BIOS for PCIe/integrated-graphics priority. Try another slot if possible.

Question 3

Version conflicts/Code 43?

Accepted Answer

Remove existing ATI/AMD and Windows Update display drivers with DDU in Safe Mode, reboot, then install the matching legacy Catalyst package. Prevent Windows Update from auto-replacing it.
