Name: Visioneer Strobe XP 100 Driver
Author: Visioneer

Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Run the Visioneer Strobe XP 100 setup as administrator. If it still fails on newer Windows, use Compatibility Mode for the original supported Windows version, or extract the driver and install it manually via Device Manager > Update driver > Have Disk.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB cable and a direct rear USB port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device, uninstall it, reconnect the Strobe XP 100, and rescan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Visioneer, PaperPort, OneTouch, and scanner drivers first, then reboot. Install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package for your Windows version. If a recent driver breaks scanning, use Device Manager > Properties > Driver > Roll Back Driver.
