Question 1

Installer fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Run the Visioneer RoadWarrior driver installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, and install the driver before connecting the scanner. If Windows blocks it, use compatibility mode for your Windows version.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect the RoadWarrior directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. In Device Manager, remove any unknown or stale scanner entries, reboot, then reconnect and let Windows re-detect it.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older Visioneer, OneTouch, or TWAIN/WIA scanner drivers first, reboot, and install only the latest RoadWarrior package matching your Windows edition and bitness. Avoid mixing drivers from different Visioneer models.
