Name: Visioneer 9650 Driver
Author: Visioneer

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Visioneer/OneTouch or PaperPort software first, reboot, then run the 9650 driver installer as administrator. If setup still fails, use Windows compatibility mode and temporarily disable antivirus during installation.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the 9650 is powered on and connected directly to a rear USB port, not a hub. Check the USB cable and try another port. In Device Manager, look for an unknown imaging device and refresh/scan for hardware changes.

Question 3

Driver/software version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Visioneer drivers and OneTouch versions via Apps & Features and Device Manager, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit package for your Windows version. Avoid mixing drivers from different Visioneer models.
