Name: Visioneer 7100 USB Scanner Driver
Author: Visioneer

Question 1

Install fails or scanning is unavailable?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the 7100 USB cable, run the Visioneer driver setup as administrator in Windows compatibility mode for the listed OS, reboot, then reconnect. Avoid installing while another scanner driver is active.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a rear USB 2.0 port and a known-good cable; avoid hubs. In Device Manager, check for Unknown Device/Imaging devices, uninstall the entry, rescan, and reinstall the Visioneer 7100 driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts after Windows updates?

Accepted Answer

Remove old Visioneer/OneTouch and duplicate scanner entries in Device Manager, restart, then install the latest 7100-compatible package. If scanning still fails, use Windows Scan or reinstall in compatibility mode.
