Name: Vimicro USB PC Camera Driver
Author: Vimicro

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the Vimicro setup as administrator in Windows 7 compatibility mode. Keep the USB PC Camera disconnected until setup prompts, and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if Windows blocks the older unsigned Vimicro driver.

Question 2

Camera not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB 2.0 port directly on the PC, not a hub. In Device Manager, check for “Unknown device” or a yellow warning; uninstall it, unplug/replug the camera, and rescan. Test a different cable.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing Vimicro USB PC Camera driver and related software, reboot, then install only the package matching your camera’s hardware ID and Windows version. Avoid mixing a generic USB video driver with the Vimicro driver.
