Name: Vimicro USB 2.0 PC Camera (Venus) Driver
Author: Vimicro

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Run the Vimicro installer as administrator, uninstall any previous Vimicro/PC Camera driver, reboot, then reconnect the camera before reinstalling.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB 2.0 port instead of a hub, try a known-good cable, and check Device Manager for “Unknown device.” Reconnect after uninstalling hidden old camera entries.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove older Vimicro or USB Video Device entries, reboot, and install the matching Venus driver. If Windows loads a generic UVC driver, roll back or update it only after confirming camera function.
