Question 1

Install fails or Windows says the best driver is already installed?

Accepted Answer

Use Device Manager > Monitors > ViewSonic VX1962wm > Update driver > Browse my computer, and point to the extracted driver folder. If Windows blocks an older INF, check the file’s Properties and unblock it before retrying.

Question 2

Monitor not detected?

Accepted Answer

Verify the VGA/DVI cable, power, and selected input source. Try another port/cable, then use Device Manager > Scan for hardware changes. If it appears as Generic PnP Monitor, update the driver manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts or wrong resolution/color?

Accepted Answer

Remove duplicate or ghost monitor entries in Device Manager, reboot, and reinstall the official VX1962wm driver. Set the native 1440x900 resolution and confirm the correct color profile.
