Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

Windows may block the monitor INF or prefer its generic PnP driver. In Device Manager, right-click the VA1703wb under Monitors, choose Update driver > Browse > Let me pick, then Have Disk and point to the extracted INF.

Question 2

Monitor not detected?

Accepted Answer

Check the VGA/DVI cable, power, and selected input source. Try another port/cable, then use Display settings > Detect. Confirm the VA1703wb appears under Monitors.

Question 3

Wrong resolution or version conflict?

Accepted Answer

Remove any old ViewSonic monitor driver/color profile, uninstall the device in Device Manager, reboot, and reinstall. Set the VA1703wb to its native 1440x900 at 60 Hz.
