Question 1

Driver install fails?

Accepted Answer

The P95f monitor INF may be rejected if Windows blocks unsigned or mismatched drivers. Download the correct Windows version/architecture, extract the INF, then use Device Manager → Monitors → Update driver → Browse → Let me pick → Have Disk. Run as administrator.

Question 2

Monitor not detected / wrong resolution?

Accepted Answer

The CRT P95f uses VGA, and EDID may not be read properly. Check the cable/adapter, power-cycle the monitor, then manually select ViewSonic P95f in Device Manager; if unavailable, set a supported resolution and refresh rate manually.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Existing “Generic PnP Monitor” or older ViewSonic entries can override the P95f INF. Uninstall those monitor devices, reboot, temporarily disable automatic driver updates, and reinstall the P95f driver.
