Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, remove any previous UTAX P 4030 MFP package, run the installer as administrator, and reconnect when prompted. Use the full MFP package for print and scan.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try another port/cable and power-cycle the MFP. For network, confirm the IP address, ping it, and add a TCP/IP port manually. Restart the Print Spooler.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old UTAX/Kyocera drivers via Print Server Properties, delete leftover queues and ports, reboot, then install the latest P 4030 driver. Do not mix scanner and print drivers from different versions.
