Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, run the UTAX installer as administrator, and install the printer driver before reconnecting. If setup still fails, remove any partial UTAX P 3020 MFP entries in Apps & Features and retry.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MFP is powered on and ready. Use a direct rear USB port and known-good cable, not a hub. For network use, assign a static IP and add the P 3020 by IP address; restart the Print Spooler service.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

In Print Management, delete old UTAX/Kyocera P 3020 print queues and drivers, restart Spooler, then install the latest UTAX package matching Windows 32/64-bit. Avoid mixing old and new MFP scan drivers.
