Name: UTAX LP 4228 Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Driver install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing UTAX LP 4228 print queue and old UTAX driver package in Print Management, reboot Windows, then run the correct x64/x86 installer as administrator.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable; for network, confirm the LP 4228 has a valid IP and create a Standard TCP/IP port using that address.

Question 3

Version conflicts or repeated driver prompts?

Accepted Answer

Delete duplicate UTAX LP 4228 drivers from Print Management, install only the package matching your Windows version, and avoid mixing older UTAX/Kyocera-style drivers with the current one.
