Question 1

Installation fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Existing UTAX/Kyocera KX drivers or a stale print spooler can block setup. Remove the old printer/driver in Print Management, restart the Print Spooler service, then run the DCC 6520 KX package as administrator.

Question 2

Device not detected (USB/network)?

Accepted Answer

For network, create a Standard TCP/IP port using the copier’s fixed IP/hostname and enable SNMP; for USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable. Confirm the DCC 6520 KX is on the same subnet and not in sleep/deep-sleep mode.

Question 3

Driver version conflicts / wrong features?

Accepted Answer

Mixing PCL6, KX, and universal drivers can cause missing finishing/tray options. Remove other UTAX/Kyocera driver versions, install only the matching DCC 6520 KX package, and select the correct model/options in Printer Properties.
