Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or printer not found?

Accepted Answer

Confirm USB/network connection, then run the UTAX CDC 5520 KX driver package as administrator. Match the package to Windows version and 32/64-bit; remove any failed partial install first.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Create the correct port manually — USB001 for USB, or the printer’s IP address for network — then restart the Print Spooler service. Disable WSD if the queue keeps switching ports.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall older UTAX/KX drivers and reboot before installing the latest CDC 5520 KX package. Avoid mixing PCL and PostScript drivers on the same queue.
