Question 1

Installer fails or stalls?

Disconnect the USB cable, close print/scanner utilities, and run the UTAX package as administrator. Remove any partially installed UTAX CDC 1725/DCC 2725 KX entries in Devices and Printers, reboot, then reinstall.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the printer is on and connected to the correct USB port or network IP. For network use, assign a static IP and add a TCP/IP port manually; for USB, try a direct rear-port connection and avoid hubs.

Uninstall older UTAX/Kyocera print and scan drivers, clear stale ports, and reboot before installing the package that matches your Windows version and 32/64-bit architecture.
