Name: UTAX CD 5240L DC 6240L Driver
Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, remove any existing UTAX/Kyocera printer queue and driver package, reboot, then run the CD 5240L/DC 6240L installer as administrator. Reconnect USB only when prompted.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

For USB, try a direct rear-port connection and a known-good cable. For network, confirm the copier’s IP address, ping it, and create a Standard TCP/IP port using the correct protocol/port rather than relying on auto-discovery.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall old UTAX or Kyocera drivers, clear the print spooler, and install the matching 32/64-bit package for your Windows version. Avoid mixing PCL/KX driver versions on the same queue.
