Author: UTAX

Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB cable, run the UTAX setup as administrator, remove old UTAX/KX print queues, reboot, then install the correct 32/64-bit package. For network setup, confirm the printer IP and temporarily disable firewall blocking.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port/cable, or ping the printer’s IP. If Windows does not list the CD 1435/DC 2435 KX, use Add Printer > Have Disk and point to the extracted INF file.

Question 3

Driver/version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall previous UTAX/KX printer and scanner drivers, clear stuck print jobs, restart the Print Spooler service, reboot, then install the latest package. Do not mix PCL/PS or WIA/TWAIN components from different versions.
