Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the USB touch/pointer device, run the UPDD installer as administrator, temporarily disable antivirus, remove older UPDD entries in Programs and Device Manager, reboot, then reconnect.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Use a direct rear USB port instead of a hub, check Device Manager for unknown USB/HID devices, try another cable/port, and install the UPDD package matching your Windows version and architecture.

Question 3

Version conflicts or duplicate pointers?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall all UPDD packages and hidden HID/pointer devices, reboot, install the latest UPDD build only, then recalibrate. Do not mix the manufacturer’s utility with a separate UPDD installer.
