Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Confirm you downloaded the correct 32-bit/64-bit package for your Windows version. Run the installer as administrator, disconnect other USB storage adapters, and temporarily disable antivirus. If Windows blocks the driver, check the vendor’s signing instructions.

Question 2

Adapter not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port, preferably a rear direct port, and avoid unpowered hubs. In Device Manager, scan for hardware changes. If it appears as “Unknown USB Device,” uninstall it, reconnect the ISD 300 (CY), and reinstall the driver.

Question 3

Version conflicts?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing USB storage adapter driver in Device Manager, selecting “Delete the driver software,” then reboot. Install only the manufacturer’s ISD 300 (CY) package and avoid Windows Update replacing it automatically.
