Question 1

Driver install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the CH341SER installer as Administrator, temporarily disable antivirus/SmartScreen, and use the correct 32/64-bit package. Reboot before retrying.

Question 2

Device not detected / no COM port?

Accepted Answer

Try another USB port and a known data-capable cable. In Device Manager, look for “USB-SERIAL CH341A” or an unknown device; if found, update manually via “Browse” to the extracted CH341 driver folder.

Question 3

Version conflict or Code 10/28?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing CH341/CH34x drivers in Device Manager, select “Delete the driver software,” reboot, then install the latest manufacturer version. Remove duplicate COM-port entries if present.
