Question 1

Install fails or stalls?

Accepted Answer

Disconnect the UPS Thermal 2844 USB cable, run the driver installer as administrator, and remove any older Zebra/UPS printer entry first. Reconnect only when setup prompts.

Question 2

Device not detected?

Accepted Answer

Try a different USB port/cable, avoid unpowered hubs, confirm the printer is powered and online, then restart the Print Spooler service. Check Device Manager for unknown USB devices.

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall existing 2844 drivers and printer queues, clear stuck print jobs, reboot, and install one compatible driver version. Avoid mixing Windows generic and manufacturer drivers.
