Name: UMAX AstraSlim 600 USB Driver
Author: UMAX

Question 1

Installer fails or stops midway?

Accepted Answer

Run the AstraSlim 600 USB driver setup as administrator. For older packages, use Windows compatibility mode and temporarily disable driver signature enforcement if the driver is unsigned.

Question 2

Scanner not detected?

Accepted Answer

Connect directly to a rear USB 2.0 port, not a hub. Check Device Manager for an unknown USB device, power-cycle the scanner, then reinstall the INF/driver package.

Question 3

Version conflicts or TWAIN errors?

Accepted Answer

Uninstall any existing UMAX scanner software and TWAIN drivers, reboot, then install the correct 32-bit or 64-bit AstraSlim 600 package. Do not mix drivers from other UMAX models.
