Name: TVS MSP250 STAR Driver
Author: TVS

Question 1

Install fails or rolls back?

Accepted Answer

Run the TVS MSP250 STAR setup as administrator and use the package matching Windows architecture. Close print spooler/other printer utilities; if Windows blocks an older unsigned driver, install via Device Manager > Add driver and reboot.

Question 2

Printer not detected?

Accepted Answer

Confirm the MSP250 STAR is powered on and connected to the correct USB/parallel port. Try another cable/port, avoid USB hubs, and check Device Manager for unknown devices. Set the printer queue to the matching port and clear “Use Printer Offline.”

Question 3

Version conflicts/duplicate queues?

Accepted Answer

Remove any existing TVS MSP250 or generic dot-matrix drivers in Print Management, delete stale queues, restart the Print Spooler service, then reinstall the current TVS driver.
